ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR
Fran Hauser is an author, keynote speaker, and startup investor. She is passionate about helping women build fulfilling careers while staying true to themselves. Fran has invested in over 30 female-founded companies across consumer-packaged goods, media & publishing, and wellness. She is the best-selling author of The Myth of the Nice Girl: Achieving a Career You Love Without Becoming a Person You Hate which has been translated into eight languages and was named "Best Business Book of the Year, 2018" by Audible. Fran's second book, Embrace the Work, Love Your Career, is quickly becoming the go-to for women seeking more joy and fulfillment in their careers. Fran regularly speaks at conferences and organizations to help women realize their career goals with clarity, intention, and confidence. Her writing, speaking, and investing are informed by 15 years spent in media, where she rose through the ranks at Time Inc. to President of Digital. She resides just outside of NYC with her husband and two sons.
Regina Shklovsky is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Sonoma County, California. She illustrated the 2018 picture book, Fun in the Mud, which was a 2019 Moonbeam award winner and a 2018 Nautilus award winner. She is passionate about bringing stories to life with pictures and thoughtful design. Her work is rooted in traditional drawing and painting, mixed with vector graphics. She collaborates with local entrepreneurs and authors, as well as independent publishers.
